A Drop in Slovene-Speaking Carinthians Reflects Negative Atmosphere, Says Slovene Minority
Klagenfurt, 16 April - A fall in the number of persons in the Austrian province of Carinthia who quoted Slovene as their first language during last year's population count in Austria is a reflection of the negative atmosphere in Carinthia towards the ethnic group and a campaign launched during the census mainly by the Carinthian "Heimatdienst", the Slovene minority on Tuesday responded to a preliminary census results.
