Commission Sends Agriculture Standpoints to EU Members, No Official Response from Slovenia as Yet
Brussels/Ljubljana, 16 April - The European Commission sent the proposed negotiating standpoints for agriculture, deemed to be one of the most complex chapters of the negotiating process with the EU candidate countries, to its 15 member states late on Monday, sources in Brussels confirmed on Tuesday. The standpoints reflect the January-released European Commission's strategy for the final chapters of negotiations, combined with the introduction of some minor "technical adjustements", was all that was revealed by Commission officials. The Slovene side has so far declined to comment the move, saying that it will do so only after it has a chance to study the standpoints.
