Opinions on When to Hold a NATO Referendum Remain Divided, a Panel Shows
Ljubljana, 16 April - "In this situation, in which the public opinion on NATO membership is bipolar, a referendum would be the indicator giving the government and the authorities legitimacy," Miro Cerar, a senior university lecturer at the Ljubljana Faculty of Law said at a panel "NATO-Referendum" on Tuesday. The debate, organised by the students' association Polituss at the Ljubljana Faculty of Social Sciences, centred on whether a referendum on Slovenia's NATO membership should be held and when.
