Latvia and Slovenia Are Determined to Join EU and NATO, Presidents Say
Ljubljana, 17 April - Relations between Latvia and Slovenia are excellent, while both countries are determined to keep trying for EU and NATO memberships, even though the two goals might become one in the future, said Slovene President Milan Kucan following talks with his Latvian counterpart Vaira Vike-Freiberga on Wednesday. Kucan and Vike-Freiberga, who arrived on a two-day official visit on Tuesday evening and is to leave Slovenia on Thursday, discussed the details of both countries' EU accession negotiations and the Convention on the future of Europe.
