Maribor, 18 April - One is wondering whether the latest figures of the Austrian census are actually alarming and worrying for the Slovene ethnic minority in the Austrian province of Carinthia, the daily Vecer wonders on Thursday, a couple of days after it was revealed that only 12,600 persons in Carinthia quoted Slovene as their first language last year, which is a drop of 9.9 percent compared to the census of 1991.
