Opposition and Trade Unions Oppose Unharmonised Bill on Public Sector Wages
Ljubljana, 18 April - Resuming an extraordinary session aimed at discussing the bill on wages in the public sector - one of several pieces of legislation which are paving the way to reforms of the public administration - lawmakers, particularly those from the opposition ranks, voiced Thursday severe criticism of the manner in which the bill is being adopted. Namely, the government called upon the National Assembly to convene for a special session to debate the bill - currently in second reading - even though it has not been fully harmonised with trade unions.
