Government Approves Contract to Sell 34 Percent of NLB to KBC
Ljubljana, 19 April - The Slovene government gave on Friday the go-ahead for the sale of a 34-percent stake in Slovenia's largest bank, NLB, to the Belgian bank KBC. The Belgian bank will pay 435 million euros or 98 billion tolars for the stake, Slovene Finance Minister Anton Rop told the press after a government session. Thus, KBC will pay 37,350 tolars or 166,25 euros per NLB share, which is, according to Rop, a very good price.
