Weekly Review of Slovene Economy between 13 and 19 April

Ljubljana, 21 April - The week ended in the light of the government decision to sell the largest Slovene bank to Belgium's KBC. On the other hand, Slovene negotiators with the EU still have a lot to do, as Slovenia expects hard negotiations on the agriculture chapter. The European Commission refused to exempt Slovenia from its steel protection measures, but granted some benefits, so the Slovene steel exporters are nevertheless overall pleased with the outcome of the consultations.
