A city whose inhabitants used to believe that it would have a difficulty in fending off a German, or rather Austrian financial invasion turned quickly and rather quitely into a stronghold of the French-speaking capital, at first mainly French and later also Belgian, the business daily Finance observes in the Monday edition.
