Trade Unions Will Not Allow Cuts in Social Transfers Due to EU and NATO Membership
Ljubljana, 22 April - The Association of Free Trade Unions (ZSSS) will not consent to any cuts in social transfers on account of Slovenia's accession to the European Union and NATO, ZSSS said Monday in response to an IMF report according to which Slovenia will have to decrease the share of wages in the public sector and social transfers in adjusting public spending to new expenses related to the EU and NATO membership.
