Slovene Buyer Claims that Finance Ministry Backed out of NKBM Privatisation
Ljubljana, 22 April - Slovene financial group Aktiva Group, bidding for the 65-percent government-owned stake in Slovenia's second bank Nova Kreditna banka Maribor (NKBM), believes that the Finance Ministry backed out of the NKBM privatisation, was said in Monday's press release. According to the company, Aktiva prolonged its bid on 22 March until 19 April upon the privatisation commission request, but has not yet received an official reply. The ministry claims that the commission made no requests to the buyers to prolong the bids on 22 March.
