Erasure of 80,000 from Population Register Was Unlawful, Says Former Constitutional Court Judge
Ptuj, 22 April - The 1999 act on the status of citizens of other former Yugoslavia successor states in Slovenia is not in accord with a Constitutional Court decision, because it sets a deadline to settle the issue of citizens that were stricken out from Slovenia's population register in 1992, said former constitutional judge and support member of the association of the "erased", Matevz Krivic, on Monday. According to him, the court established in 1999 that the erasing of 80,000 people from the register was unlawful.
