EU Candidate Countries Sign Maribor Declaration on Small Business
Maribor, 23 April - Top representatives from ministries in charge of small business in the EU candidate countries gathered for a two-day international conference on small business in Maribor on Tuesday. Upon the opening of the conference, 13 candidate countries signed the Maribor declaration, by which they are to accede to the European charter on small business. By signing the document, EU applicants have asserted the importance of principles of entrepreneurship, as stipulated by the European charter, Slovenia's Economics Minister Tea Petrin told a news conference.
