Slovene Academy of Sciences and Arts Elects New Leadership

Ljubljana, 25 April - The Slovene Academy of Arts and Sciences on Thursday elected a new president and a 13-member board after incumbent president France Bernik finished his two consecutive terms in office this year, wrapping up a ten-year mandate. The 94 academy members elected 61-year-old Bostjan Zeks, professor of physics at the Ljubljana Faculty of Mathematics and Physics and the only candidate to run for the post, for a three-year term in office.
