President Kucan Rejects U.S. View of Slovenia's Apparent Self-Satisfaction
Ljubljana, 25 April - Slovenia's accession to the EU and NATO makes sense, as it will be easier to nurture the values the country is based on in democratic alliances, Slovene president Milan Kucan said Thursday as he met with U.S. Ambassador to Slovenia Johnny Young. He also noted that Slovenia has made great progress in the last two years in the development of its defence policy and the modernisation of its armed forces.
