KBC to Ask for a Commanding Share in NLB
Brussels, 25 April - The Belgian banking and insurance group KBC, which has agreed with the Slovene government to purchase a 34-percent stake in Slovenia's largest bank, will ask for a commanding share of 50 percent in Nova Ljubljanska banka (NLB), which under legislation appertains to the holders of 33 to 50 percent of capital, the head of the KBC executive board Remi Vermeiren said in Brussels on Thursday.
