Deputies from EU Candidate Countries Meet in Cyprus
Nicosia, 26 April - Chairs of the parliamentary committees for European affairs from the six EU candidates which were invited to start accession talks with the EU in 1997 in Luxembourg, have gathered in the Cypriot city of Paphos to discuss activities of the EU Convention on the future of the Union. Slovenia's Lojze Peterle, who has recently been elected the candidates' representative to the Convention's presidency, outlined his views on this topic.
