Slovenia's Energy Giant Looks to Brighter Future After Initial Teething Problems
Ljubljana, 29 April - Every company faces problems early on its existence and the Holding Slovenske elektrarne, which unites a number of Slovene power plants, is no exception to the rule. The largest company in Slovenia finished its first business year - although it operated only for the last four months of 2001 - with a significant loss. However, as company officials stress, the worst is over and, with a number of important investments in the works and extensive plans for international co-operation ready to be realised, the future seems much brighter.
