Italian Minister Ensures Slovene Minority Can Get Original Names Back
Trieste, 30 April - Italian Minister for Relations with the Parliament Carlo Giovanardi on Tuesday intervened with Trieste Prefect Vincenzo Grimaldi in regard to the right of changing Italianized Slovene surnames back into their original form. Some months ago all procedures to return surnames to the original Slovene form were stopped based on the fact that the parity committee has not yet been formed.
