Italian Government Appoints Its Representatives to the Parity Board
Rome, 3 May - The Italian government on Friday appointed four members to the parity board, a body supervising the implementation of the umbrella act on the protection of the Slovene minority. Regional Affairs Minister Enrico La Loggia stressed after the session that the board is now complete and can start fulfilling its task. According to the umbrella protection act, the parity board should have been formed no later than six months after the act was enforced in February 2001.
