Dairies to Face Difficulties Because of Lower Cash Support for Exports
Ljubljana, 4 May - Cash support for the export of milk and milk products offered by the state to dairies are to drop by around 20 percent as of 1 July. The Slovene dairies fear that the measure, proposed by the agriculture ministry to bring export subventions in line with those in the EU, would bring more problems to Slovene dairy farming, which produces great amounts of excess milk.
