Goodyear Acquires Another 20 Percent of Sava Tires
Kranj, 6 May - In a deal worth US$ 38 million, the Slovene rubber company Sava sold on Monday a 20-percent stake in Sava Tires, a joint venture of Goodyear and Sava, to Goodyear, which will thus become an 80-percent owner of the tire manufacturer. Sava is to retain 20 percent of Sava Tires, and is expected to decide by 2005 whether to sell the remaining stake.
