Slovene Prime Minister Tours the U.S.
New York, 7 May - Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek on Monday arrived in New York to attend a UN General Assembly session on children from 8 to 10 May. However the highlight of his almost two-week long visit to the country will be a meeting with U.S. President George W. Bush, scheduled for 17 May, which is to focus on Slovenia's candidacy for NATO membership. According to the daily Delo, Drnovsek is also expected to undergo some medical examinations while in the U.S..
