Insurance Company Privatisation Act Adopted Despite Opposition's Obstruction
Ljubljana, 7 May - The parliament on Tuesday unanimously passed the bill on privatisation of insurance companies in a vote that was obstructed by the opposition Social Democrats (SDS), New Slovenia (NSi) and the National Party (SNS). The move opens the way for the process of privatisation of Slovene insurance companies to be concluded 11 years since their transformation into joint-stock companies.
