Euro Cash Influenced High-Scale Banking in Slovenia in 2001
Ljubljana, 7 May - Slovene banks did business on a very high scale in 2001, as citizen deposits rose due to the introduction of the euro, states Bank of Slovenia's annual report for 2001. Net financial inflow of foreign currency amounted to 5.9 percent of GDP in 2000 and exceeded eight percent in 2001.
