Opposition Party Seeks Bill to Temporarily Halt Privatisation of Slovene Banks
Ljubljana, 8 May - The opposition Slovene National Party (SNS) on Wednesday put forward a bill which would temporarily prevent the privatisation of state-owned banks, the NLB and NKBM. The bill was filed for parliamentary procedure ahead of the signing of a contract on the sale of a 34-percent share in the NLB, Slovenia's largest bank, to Belgian banking and insurance group KBC.
