EU Ambassador Attempts to Calm Slovene Fears About a Loss of Identity in the EU

Velenje, 8 May - Slovenia should not fear that it would lose its national identity or its culture and language as a member of the EU, since the the Union strengthens and consolidates cultural and linguistic diversity, the head of the European Commission delegation in Slovenia Erwan Fouere reassured participants of a public debate on EU and Slovenia's membership of the organisation held in Velenje on Wednesday.
