Women in Local Politics Are Underrepresented in Slovenia, Shows Survey
Ljubljana, 10 May - Women in local politics mostly have to face a lack of time, the burden of balancing their professional and family lives and the underestimating attitude of men, show the findings of a survey carried out by the Council of Europe information and documentation centre and the Peace Institute, an institute for contemporary political and social studies. The percentage of women in politics is low both on local and national levels, pointed out the head of the project Dr Milica Antic Gaber.
