Slovene Aspirations in Giro Cut Short as Stangelj Suffers Injury

Groningen, 11 May - Slovene professional cyclist Gorazd Stangelj (Fassa Bortolo) ran out of luck at the prologue to this year's Giro d'Italia. Falling soon after the race began, Stangelj was taken to a hospital, where it has been established that the cyclist had suffered a fractured collar bone and light trauma to the crane.
