Global Terrorism Discussed as IPI Congress Winds to a Close
Ljubljana, 12 May - The four-day World Congress of the International Press Institute (IPI) drew to a close on Sunday, as two separate panels addressed issues of the rise of global terrorism and the protection of journalists in conflict areas, while the participants also witnessed the presentation of the award for press freedom to the Yugoslav daily Danas. The IPI also elected a new leadership at an extraordinary meeting of its constitutional board.
