Further Strike Action Avoided as TICT Opts for Temporary Reinstatement of Five Workers

Trieste, 13 May - The Trieste International Container Terminal (TICT), a joint venture company which manages the seventh terminal at the Trieste Port and whose largest owner is Slovenia's Port of Koper with 49 percent, has decided to temporarily reinstate five workers who were transferred after refusing to work on Easter Monday. The move brings to an end a month-old dispute between the TICT and the trade unions at the Trieste Port, which had protested the decision to sanction the workers.
