Cigarette Maker Tobacna Ljubljana Records Declining Sales in Slovenia
Ljubljana, 16 May - Slovene cigarette maker Tobacna Ljubljana recorded sales revenues of SIT 34 billion (EUR 150.9 million) in 2001, maintaining income at the level seen the year before, despite a 17-percent decrease in the amount of cigarettes sold. Moreover, net profits surged 21 percent compared to the year before, topping three billion tolars (EUR 13.3 million), said Peter Uhlig, director general of the Tobacna Ljubljana group.
