Washington, 17 May - Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek is scheduled to be received by U.S. President George W. Bush in the Oval Office on Friday. This third meeting of the pair and the Slovene minister's second visit to the White House comes ten years after the United States recognized Slovenia as an independent country. Drnovsek, who will turn 52 today, has noted that the meeting with Bush will be a confirmation of the excellent relations between both countries, whose culmination is expected for November, when Slovenia and some other applicants for NATO membership hope to receive invitations to join the Alliance.
