Collection of Signatures for Another Referendum Given Go-Ahead
Ljubljana, 17 May - After a referendum initiative was filed to parliament in a bid to prevent temporarily stop the privatisation of Slovene banks, Speaker of the National Assembly Borut Pahor said on Friday that the initiative is in line with legislation, and set the dates within which the required 40,000 signatures should be collected for a referendum to be called. Thus, signatures start being collected on 21 May through 19 July.
