Speaker Pahor Asks Greece to Give Green Light to Slovenia's EU Membership
Athens, 20 May - Slovenia would like Greece to ratify the Accession Treaty after the EU applicant countries complete membership negotiations, Slovene Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor told his Greek counterpart Apostolos Kaklamanis on Monday in Athens. Pahor, who met Kaklamanis on the sidelines of the one-day conference of parliamentary speakers from the member states of the Adriatic-Ionian Initiative (AII), told STA that Slovenia does not wish anything to affect EU enlargement, reminding of the issue of Cyprus.
