Slovene Gov't Recognises Independence of East Timor

Ljubljana, 21 May - The Slovene government took a decision at Tuesday's correspondence session to recognise East Timor as an independent and sovereign nation as of 20 May 2002, the Slovene Foreign Ministry said today. The decision was sent to parliament for confirmation.
