Slovene Railways GM Decides to Step Down in Protest
Ljubljana, 21 May - The general manager of the Slovene Railways Igor Zajec has made a request to the head of the supervisory board of the company Mirko Bandelj and the Minister of Transport Jakob Presecnik that his contract be terminated. "My decision to step down following three years at the helm of the Slovene Railways is based on the unbearable situation in which this public company has found itself as a result of a lengthy unacceptable conduct of the owner, the government," Zajec underlined in his press release.
