Slovenia's Central Bank Does not Expect Major Changes upon EU Accession
Portorož, 22 May - Slovenia's accession to the EU will not bring any major changes to Slovenia's central bank, said Bank of Slovenia Governor Mitja Gaspari at Wednesday's conference of the Maribor Economists Association in Portoroz. The key changes will occur when Slovenia joins the European monetary union (EMU), said Gaspari, highlighting the importance of co-operation between the central bank and the government.
