Biodiversity Is Declining in Slovenia
Ljubljana, 22 May - Biodiversity, the variety of living organisms in all ecosystem, is a good that is most important from the point of view of humankind's survival, but also one that seems to least appreciated. Compared to Europe, where the situation is very worrisome, according to the UN, Slovenia has many areas where biodiversity has been maintained, however, some surveys suggest that it is declining also. International Biodiversity Day is celebrated on 22 May.
