Prime Minister Comments SOVA Top Job Replacement
Ljubljana, 25 May - Replacing Tomaz Lovrencic as the head of the Slovene Security and Intelligence Agency (SOVA), was not a sudden move, Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek told the commercial TV network POP TV on Friday evening. He added that the move has been planned for nine months, as Lovrencic had never expected to stay on the post indefinitely. As of 1 June, the post will be taken on by the prime minister's ministerial councilor and former Slovene chief of staff, Iztok Podbregar.
