Successors to Former Yugoslavia to Discuss Old Foreign Exchange Deposits on Tuesday
Ljubljana, 27 May - Negotiators of five successor states to the former Yugoslavia are to meet in Basel on Tuesday to discuss the delicate issue of old foreign exchange deposits. As STA was told by chief Slovene negotiator Rudolf Gabrovec before this third round of talks under the mediation of the Basel-based Bank for International Settlements (BIS), the meeting will try to determine the actual volume of deposits of physical persons which are not and will not be covered by national insurance schemes of individual successor states.
