MPs and Gov't Officials to Meet over the Adoption of EU Laws in June
Riga, 28 May - Speaker of the National Assembly Borut Pahor told STA on Tuesday that he would call an informal meeting of government and parliament officials in charge of European affairs in early June to asses the compatibility of national legislation with that of the EU and determine what still needs to be done. This is to be followed by a meeting with the heads of parliamentary factions which should establish what mechanisms are to be employed to speed up the adoption of the acquis in case of delays.
