Opposition Blames Government for the Unfavourable Financial Situation
Ljubljana, 29 May - The government does not have a long-term strategy on how to bring Slovenia closer to EU member states, representatives of Slovene opposition parties established in a television debate. In their opinion the planned supplementary budget comes as a result of the government's mistakes and its attempt to stabilise public finance in the short run by means of austerity measures. Opposition leaders also shared the opinion that the latest series of referendum initiatives was the outcome of irresponsible moves by the government.
