Eurobarometer: Only 16 Percent of EU Citizens Recognise Slovenia as EU Candidate
Brussels, 29 May - Slovenia has been recognised as an official EU candidate by only 16 percent of EU citizens, according to a special Eurobarometer survey on how well EU citizens are informed about enlargement, which was carried out in the 15 EU members. Slovenia is thus the least recognised candidate, together with Slovakia and Lithuania, while Poland placed first, as it has been recognised as an official applicant by 40 percent of some 16,000 respondents.
