Interior Minister Discusses Illegal Migration with Colleagues from EU and Candidates
Rome, 30 May - Slovene Interior Minister Rado Bohinc on Thursday in Rome participated in a conference on illegal migration, attended by his colleagues from the EU member states and the candidate countries. In his address, Bohinc said that Slovenia sees today's attendance as a historic event, as this was the first time that it took part in a political debate on the protection of the EU's borders on an equal footing. He announced that by 2005 the country would manage to provide the control of the EU border in line with Schengen standards.
