Portorož, 31 May - Accession to the EU will be the realisation of Slovenia's national interest, however a significant part of the public understands the EU accession as a threat to the national interest, therefore the referendum on EU membership, likely to be held next year, will measure the popularity of two views that will clash there, Parliament Speaker Borut Pahor said Friday while opening the 13th days of political scientists at Portoroz, SW Slovenia.
