Monthly Inflation Rate at 0.3 Percent, Annual at 7.5 Percent in May
Ljubljana, 31 May - After a surge in inflation last month, consumer prices rose by 0.3 percent in May, bringing the annual inflation rate down to 7.5 percent from 8.4 percent recorded last April. The lower inflation rate in May comes as a result of a drop in the prices of oil derivatives and seasonal products, the National Statistical Office said in a preliminary report on Friday.
