Slovenia Should Join NATO, Says Former U.S. Senator
Ljubljana, 3 June - Slovenia is one of the main candidates for NATO membership and it will soon join the Alliance, was convinced former U.S. senator William V. Roth on Monday. Roth is on a several-day visit to Slovenia upon the invitation of Speaker of Parliament Borut Pahor. The latter assured the guest at today's talks that EU and NATO accession are the principal goals of the Slovene parliament. Roth also met with Slovene Defence Minister Anton Grizold.
