Slovenia Should Have a Single Network of Economic Missions Abroad, Managers Say

Ljubljana, 4 June - The consolidation of the Slovene economy's foreign trade network dominated the agenda of Tuesday's session of the management board of the Slovene Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS). CEOs represented on the board agreed that economic offices have to be set up as part of Slovenia's diplomatic and consular missions abroad, as the country has neither the sufficient staff nor means to establish two parallel networks. Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel, who attended the meeting as well, shared the board's opinion and added that the Foreign Ministry expected the GZS to propose its representatives for economic advisors.
