A Publication Highlights Slovenia's Role in NATO Enlargement

Ljubljana, 4 June - The reasons of Slovenia's failure to become a NATO member in the first wave of enlargement should be looked for in a complicated context of historical circumstances following the end of the Cold War, the state of mind of the key NATO member states, especially the United States, and, last but not least, internal political situation in the countries aspiring to NATO membership. This was established by the authors of a book "Small States in the Post-Cold War World: Slovenia and NATO Enlargement".
